Marcia A. Schwartz, L.C.S.W.
Marcia is a clinical social worker in private practice since 1979 as a licensed psychotherapist. She has concentrated training in the areas of co-dependency recovery, addiction, psychodrama, and family systems therapy. She is a certified practitioner of Parent Effectiveness Training (P.E.T.) and Eye Movement De-sensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Marcia has designed and facilitated several workshops, seminars, and training programs. Healing the Child Within, a popular and long running weekend seminar, combines psychodrama and Core Energetic therapeutic exercises. Assertive Communication Training (ACT), a six week training program, teaches the skills of effective communication. Other professionals in the field have utilized an on-going program in co-dependency recovery, designed by Marcia, titled A.C.O.A. Recovery through Experiential Group Process. For many years, she was a presenter for the Woman’s Center at Wainwright House, a growth center in Rye, NY. She also presented for the American Humanistic Psychology (AHP) conference.
Marcia has an extensive background in training with some of the top names in the field of psychology and energy healing. She completed four-year certification programs with Ilana Rubenfeld (founder Rubenfeld Synergy), John Pierrakos M.D. (founder Core Energetic therapy), and Barbara Brennan (founder Barbara Brennan School of Healing).
Marcia has always been at the forefront of treatment methodologies in her chosen field of work. She looks forward to sharing the guidance, wisdom, and truth found in Path of Return with others.
Marcia enjoys spending time with her family and friends, laughter, gardening, days on the beach, long walks, meditating, classical piano, reading, travel, adventure, and Paris.
